DJ Wiz considers himself to be Canada's "First International Reggae Selecta". He hails from Toronto, Canada and was born 26 years ago. Ian of Roadstar, Captain Midnite of Super Saint and the great King Addies when Tony Matterhorn and Baby Face were at the controls have inspired him.

He began his musical career lifting speaker boxes for Hi-Tek sound in 1989 and after a Hi-Tek/Stone Love dance "I got a couple of numbers so it felt like all women wanted a selector". He stayed with them until 1992 and in the next year he joined Syndicate before teaming up with Lovechild Disco from 1993 to 1996.

Wiz met Judgement Soundin 1998 when he went to Japan to "defeat Black Kat (Panther will never admit) cause he is one of the best selectors around and a good friend". When Wiz first met Judgement he used to help Tucker out with his speeches on certain words in English. They needed a MC because Tucker had lost his voice and they had to play in Bermuda. So Wiz teamed up with Krush "and I just buss up the place and from there, tour just started".

Wiz has played in every major city in Canada and Jamaica alongside Stone Love, Fire Links, Katarock, Travellers, Nitro and many more. He has played Bermuda alongside Playbwoy and in Japan with Judgement/Blackat and in England sharing the bill with Vinyl Starr, King Tubbys, Lord Gellys and Meditation. He has been lucky because he manages to see "different cultures and people" but he still wants to play Australia and Africa and more of the islands. He was in talks with two promoters from Nigeria but due to the violence that broke out over the Miss World pageant talks are on hold. He has also just found a strong link in Australia, so Australian and African massive look out for Wiz in your area.
